Just Great Movies

When movies are good, they are the bomb. But a lot of movies are just missing something. Essential points in the plot, movie full of "fluff", limited character development, good humor, the list of movie flaws goes on.
But when there is just a good movie, that has all the essential components, and something artistic or creative it is just great. I love that there are some people who are just genius and they make movies and share their awesomeness with us.
Here is my list of just great movies.
Singing in the rain.
Classic.
And hilarious.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Epic.
I chose this picture because I think Sam is the true hero. Frodo is great, but he didn't carry his BF up a burning mountain, almost dying with fatigue.
My brothers got the special 4 disk edition for all the movies with 3 discs devoted entirely to behind the scenes
I have definitely watched them all.

Phantom of the Opera
I just recently realized how much I love this movie when we borrowed it from Mikes fam and watched it, a few weeks later I borrowed it from my mom because I missed it too much. Good movie. Gerald Butler is the BOMB.com. I just love the end scene when Christine, Phantom and Raul are all singing together and its so intense.

Back to the Future.
Awesome.
I think this picture represents the trilogy well.

500 Days of Summer
So funny and clever. It's truly put together by a genius.

The Princess Bride
This is the kind of movie that you can watch over and over and over and over again. And I have. Still love it.

Spiderman Trilogy
I understand that many will disagree with me on this being on the "great movies list"
But I still love it. They are just good movies although they didn't pick my favorite actress to play Mary Jane. And yes I did like the third one.

The Sixth Sense
I am not a fan of horror movies.
Number one because I get scared at night and won't get out of bed when I have to use the little girls room. Instead I just lay there thinking about how if I put my foot down, a ghost will grab my ankle from under the bed and I will have to go to her funeral and break some tough news to her loving pops.
Number two because they usually have terrible plots.
This one I love. Don't get me wrong, number one still applies. In fact my dad took me to see this in theaters when I was in 4th grade and it terrified me for years.
But it's so good.
My parents have that exact same map hanging in their house.

I know these last two are not movies, but they are genius just the same and so HILARIOUS and great. I love them both till the day I die.
The Office

Chuck

What are your favorites?
