In Honor of Harry Potter..

I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 at midnight. Actually 12:45. What am I, 18 again? Let me tell you though, for the first time with the movies, I loved it.
Neville is my favorite.

Beth got killed by Voldy

In honor of Harry Potter being awesome, i changed my name to the sorting hat!
And I shall sort some peeps.

First is Hufflepuff

Now if you thought Hufflepuff was for the people who weren't good at anything, you thought wrong.
Students belonging to this house are known to be hard-working, friendly, loyal, and non-judgemental. They value patience and fair play rather than social status. And might I remind you that other than Griffindor, they had the most students that stayed and fought Voldemort at the ending battle.

In Hufflepuff I place my dear husband Michael for his work ethic, loyalty and the way he always withholds judgment.

And also Hillarie, for her loyalty and nonjudgment

And Olivia, for her loyalty and friendliness

Next is Ravenclaw

Ravenclaw House prizes intelligence, creativity, resourcefulness, cleverness, knowledge, and wit in its members. Often, they are known for being academically motivated.
"Wit beyond measure is a man's greatest treasure."
—Rowena Ravenclaw
In Ravenclaw I place...
Jennifer for her resourcefulness and smarts,

Jordan for her wit and creativity

And also, Bethany for her cleverness and wit

Gryffindor

Gryffindor house is known for their bravery and chivalry. They contributed many members to the Order of the Phoenix and Dumbledores Army. Their bravery, however, is viewed by Snape and others to be arrogant and reckless.  In Gryffindor I place...

James for his bravery and arrogant recklessness.

I also place my brother Curtis, for his chivalry and recklessness

Clark, for his bravery and comic relief.

Last but not least, Slytherin.

Slytherins tend to be ambitious, strong leaders, and achievement-oriented. They also have highly developed senses of self-preservation.

In Slytherin I place.... myself.
For my selfishness and ambition. Also my love for Draco Malfoy.

I will leave you with these cute little Gryffindors.

Where would you be sorted?

Latley ...

We celebrated Cow Appreciation Day by dressing up as cows and getting a free meal (any chicken sandwich, a drink AND waffle fries). Awesome.

Eat more chicken!

This was just sitting on the register? Creepy.

We went up to Grandma Jeans beautiful cabin for the Porter family reunion. 70 degree weather? Yes please. I realized I only take pictures of the tots. Mike and I aren't as fun to look at. Have you ever seen a more hansom little boy? I think not.

Walking with Uncle Ben.

Redneck pinata- Get a bunch of saw dust, throw candy in it, then send the kids after it. This is always a fun part of the reunion that my Aunt Linda does. This is Clark and his game face.

Then we played minute to win it. See that speedster in the far right kicking everyones trash? Yeah, that's my mom.

Mike went home when the reunion ended, but I stayed up with my mom and younger brothers and sister, and my sister in law and her kiddos. And Grandma Jean of course. First time that Mike and I have been apart for more than like 12 hours. We missed each other. And my mom rolled her eyes at me.

There is something great about being in the mountains with no TV, computer or video games. When I wake up in the morning and the only thing on my agenda is read a book, or take a walk, or make a bracelet, or play with Lincoln and Stella.

There is also something great about being home, being back with the hubbs, and sleeping in my own squishy bed.

This is Stella working so hard on beading her own bracelet. She did such a good job, I held the string for her and she would turn the bead around and concentrate so hard on getting it in. It probably took her a full minute to put each individual one on the string, and she was so proud of the finished product.

Cherry face.

We did some quilting. Lincoln is the master.

Lately I've been watching this. Wednesday and Thursday nights I am always entertained.

We also re-did part of our wall. One of our picture frames in the middle fell off months ago, and we finally got around to putting something else up. This is the only picture I could find of before. Excuse the prego.

Before

After!
